At Kantilo, about 12 Kms from Khandapara, there stands the temples of god Nilamadhaba on a hill close to the bed of the River Mahanadi. It is the ancient most Vaishnaivite Shrine in Orissa, predating the Shrine of Lord Jagannath at Puri.

The painting on walls in Orissa is almost as time , it seems the simple but lovely filigree painting drawn on the walls of the tribal dwellings is a witness to this exquisite creativity.

Often referred to as the “Gem of Orissan Architecture” this temple has been built on the lines of the kalinga school of temple architecture . this temple too is a deviation in that the architects have blended old and new techniques of planning and execution.The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva Mukteswara.

The temple of Ladukesvara Shiva in the Khurda district belongs to the important sanctuaries in the former feudatory states of Orissa. The god is worshiped in his form as Harihara by his devotees. Consequently, Krishna, Madhava and Jagannatha are also present in the compound. This temple has been completely rennovated recently. Modern paintings with themes from the exploits of Krishna and the Devi now cover the walls of the entrance hall.

This temple is situated in the midst of the river Mahandai to the east of Boudh town..The Hanuman temple was constructed by a religious mendicant. This shrine was constructed on a large stone.

The Chandra Chuda Temple is situated on the bank of river Mahanadi in Boudh town. In this temple Lord Shiva has been worshipped.

Akhandalamani Shiva has a famous temple in Aredi in Jagatsinghpur district. Far away, in the jungle of Phulbani district, an offspring of this temple is under construction. The stairs leading uphill to the temple site as well as the signboard at the foot of the stairs are all that exists at present, but the temple site is inhabited: Shiva, worshiped by the bull, is sitting richly decorated under a tree.

This ancient temple has been recently ennovated. Its sanctum (garbhagrha), too, received a modern design. The temple stands on the northern bank of the river Kusumi and belongs to the village Angisingh in the Khurda district.
