SEC rejects use of party symbols

The State Election Commission on Wednesday outright rejected the demand of various opposition political parties to allow the candidates for the posts of ward member, sarpanch and panchayat samiti member to use the party symbols or photographs of leaders of political parties during the campaign for the ensuing panchayat polls.
