BHUBANESWAR: A team of the Koraput Police raided the house of Gananath Patra, Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangha advisor and leader of CPI-ML Liberation, today here.
A team led by a DSP-rank officer searched the premises at Vashistha Nagar, in Old Town area of the City.
Sources said the police team found a laptop, CDs and documents which are yet to be verified.
Patra, arrested by the police last month, is an accused in a number of cases of violence and arson in Koraput district, mostly during the CMAS uprising over land grabbing last year.
Police also accused him of links with the Maoists. |
